Bloody steamed bun

Origin:
In feudal society, according to a Chinese myth, human blood is a guaranteed cure to fight incurable diseases. Therefore, in Lu Xun’s fiction “Medicine”, people would buy a bun dipped in the blood of an executed revolutionary to heal tuberculosis. Ironically, this absurd legend contributes to killing the patient, as the burnt bun only encourages more coughing.

Use steamed bread to glue the blood of others to cure oneself, take advantage of the sufferings people to gratify one's own desires.
Making process

Fresh human blood 20ml

Flour 500g

Water 250g

Sugar 10g

Yeast powder 5g
Step 1: Place the yeast powder, sugar and room temperature water in a mixing bowl. Stir to dissolve all the ingredients for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. knead for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Step 5: Sprinkle some dry flour on the table and use a rolling pin to roll the dough. Squeeze out the excess air.
Step 2: Pull the liquid in a large bowl, and slowly draw a syringe full of fresh blood. Stir until blood is dissolved. Slowly work in enough flour until soft dough forms.
Step 4: Wrap the dough with a plastic wrap and let it rest for 1.5 hours until doubled in bulk.
Step 6: Shape it into a 20 centimeter long log. Cut it into 9 pieces.
Step 7: Turn the heat to low and cover the bamboo steamer tightly. Steam over a high heat for 15 minutes.
